Finding Inspiration in Every Turn

The Innovator
Kenneth Doeden was born in Sibley, Iowa in 1945. From an early age, he learned the fundamentals of farming and construction from his father—skills that would shape the course of his life. After completing eighth grade, he left school to pursue his passion for agriculture. In 1965, he was drafted into the United States Army and served a tour in Vietnam.

Kenny married Joyce in 1969, marking the beginning of a lifelong partnership built on commitment and hard work. As their family grew, so did Kenny’s sense of responsibility. He dedicated himself to providing for his children, ensuring they had the stability, guidance, and support they needed. Through farming and later construction work, he taught his family the value of perseverance, integrity, and working with purpose—lessons that shaped not only their home, but the character of each child as they grew.
A Family Affair
In 1994, Kenny expanded his farming work into concrete and construction, collaborating closely with his sons. By 1999, he and his eldest sons began developing what would become his most notable innovation—the slat replacer. Following years of problem-solving, refinement, and hands-on ingenuity, Kenny successfully patented the machine, marking one of the proudest accomplishments of his and his family's lives.
